In Australia, the equivalent of a bachelor or stag party in the United States is the buck's party or buck's night. It is believed that the tradition of holding a party for a groom-to-be originated way back in 5th century B.C., when soldiers used to toast each other on the eve of a fellow soldier's wedding.

Countries like the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and France each have different ways of holding stag parties. Here in Australia, buck's nights have turned into crazy buck's weekends.

The idea is for the groom, his groomsmen and his best buddies to spend more than just the traditional one night of male bonding for a full-fledged, crazy buck's weekend.
